Security & Compliance
Updated December 22, 2025
FlexaTable is built to meet Microsoft’s security, privacy, and compliance requirements for Power BI certified visuals. Here are the key points:
1. No Data Leaves Your Power BI Environment
FlexaTable processes all data locally within Power BI. We do not transmit, store, or access any of your data externally. All calculations—pivoting, comparisons, dynamic metrics, and Monte Carlo simulations—run directly in the Power BI client or service.
2. Microsoft Sandbox Isolation
FlexaTable runs inside Power BI’s secure sandbox, which:
Prevents external connections
Restricts file system access
Blocks network calls
Ensures your data remains fully isolated
Your datasets never reach our servers because we do not have servers touching your data.
3. Marketplace Certification Compliance
FlexaTable complies with Microsoft AppSource/Marketplace requirements, including:
Secure coding standards
GDPR compliance
Data handling transparency
Required documentation and validation
No unauthorized data collection
4. No Tracking or Telemetry
FlexaTable does not collect:
Row-level data
Metadata
User interactions
Usage logs
Data model information
Your organization maintains full control.
5. Enterprise-Level Power BI Security
FlexaTable inherits your existing Power BI security configuration:
Row-Level Security (RLS)
Azure AD authentication
Workspace and dataset permissions
Data model encryption (in transit & at rest per Microsoft standards)
The visual does not override or weaken any of your security policies.
6. Optional Add-On: On-Prem / Private Environment
If your organization requires additional assurances, we support optional configurations such as:
- Private tenant deployment
- Custom endpoints blocked by default
- Additional hardening documentation
