Installation

This guide explains how to install Flexa visuals into Power BI.
You can install Flexa directly from Microsoft AppSource or import the visual manually using a local .pbiviz file.

1. Install from Microsoft AppSource

You can install Flexa visuals either directly from Power BI Desktop or via the Microsoft AppSource website. Both methods install the same AppSource visuals.

  1. Open Power BI Desktop.
  2. In the Visualizations pane, select Get more visuals.
  3. Go to AppSource.
  4. Search for Flexa (e.g., Flexa Tables, Flexa Analytics, Flexa Design, Flexa Charts).
  5. Select the visual and click Add.

Once installed, the Flexa visual will appear in the Visualizations pane and can be used like any other Power BI visual.

2. Import Visual from a Local File (.pbiviz)

Importing a local visual is useful when:

  • You need to test a beta version
  • AppSource is temporarily unavailable
  • You receive a custom or pre-release Flexa build
  1. Open Power BI Desktop.
  2. In the Visualizations pane, select Get more visuals.
  3. Choose Import a visual from a file.
  4. Select the provided .pbiviz file.
  5. Confirm the security warning to complete the import.

After importing, the visual will be available in the Visualizations pane for immediate use.

⚠️ Note: Imported visuals are available only in the current report file.
To use them in other reports, you must import the .pbiviz file again.
